How to Apply for a Habitat for Humanity Home

The process can take anywhere from 1 to 2 years to move into a home after the application has been reviewed and the partner family approved.

Step 1: Applicant(s) must complete a Self Assessment Questionnaire and register to attend a Homeowner Orientation. You must submit a completed Self Assessment Questionnaire in order to register for an orientation.

Self Assessment

Homeowner Orientations in 2015 will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month, starting in Feburary, at 6:30pm at our affiliate office located at 56 South Grove Avenue in Elgin. Parking is in lots both north and south of the building. Information on registration is found on the Upcoming Orientations page of this site. The upcoming dates are Feburary 24, March 24, April 28, and May 26.
